Grain of Sand
In the Face Book group: Someone posted a description where earth is just a grain of sand. My comment:
I see no point to reducing our perspective to just a grain of sand. Of course the universe is huge. However the Earth is not isolated in space, nor is any person. We are all part of our complex global human society (with its many social structures), a part of the diverse life on this planet, moving around our sun. Every person regardless of their actions is still a part of humanity's evolution within the universe. The earth is not an isolated grain of sand but interacts with the universe, like the Sun, Moon, planets, comets, asteroids, galaxies, etc. We are a part of this wondrous universe, not something to be compared to as if we are separate and just here for a ride.
