My comment:

I see the persistent myth:
'Trans-Neptunian objects composed mostly of ices'

Probes have visited Ultima Thule way out there, many comets and asteroids, and distant moons among the planets.
None of them was mostly ice. In fact none of them had visible ice on the rocky surface.
